With univers N and unimes H, Hager offers a comprehensive range of solutions for type-tested power distribution systems in the low voltage range from 800 - 4000A for buildings, industry and infrastructure with distribution systems as well as switchgear and protective devices developed and produced in-house. Supplemented by active/passive arc fault protection systems for maximum personal and system safety as well as ensuring high system availability. 

As a Strategic Program Manager - Project Business (m/f/d) you will report to Vice President based in Blieskastel for a Permanent contract.

Purpose of the Role

As the StrategicProgram Manager Project Business, you will work closely with the Project Business Leader and leadership team, playing a key role in shaping and accelerating Hager Group’s Project Business ambition.

Working at the intersection of business strategy, customer solutions, operational excellence, and digital transformation, you will drive initiatives that directly contribute to growth, customer value, and organizational performance across international markets.

In this role, you will ensure that Project Business priorities and initiatives are translated into concrete business results through strong governance, prioritization, stakeholder alignment, disciplined execution, and AI-powered ways of working.

You will partner with senior leaders across Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Operations, Digital and other key functions to drive strategic initiatives.

Your mission

Your main responsibilities include:

• Drive Project Business growth by leading strategic initiatives supporting the development of the Project Business organization and translating business strategy into actionable roadmaps, priorities, execution plans and decision points.
• Orchestrate cross-functional execution by coordinating and driving activities across international and multidisciplinary teams. Establish clear ownership, challenge progress and strongly contribute to accountability and execution discipline among stakeholders. Identify and escalate critical dependencies and bottlenecks when required.
• Establish program governance by defining program structure, milestones, deliverables, KPIs, and success criteria. Monitor progress against commitments and objectives, prepare executive-level reporting and steering committee reviews, maintain a clear management, review and decision cadence, and ensure transparency and fact-based decision-making.
• Influence and constructively challenge senior stakeholders and leadership teams to drive alignment, prioritization and execution of Project Business initiatives across markets and functions.
• Drive critical business topics to resolution by taking ownership of selected cross-functional issues where execution is blocked, responsibilities are unclear or leadership decisions are required. Structure the topic, mobilize the relevant stakeholders and drive it toward a decision and closure.
• Drive the adoption of AI-powered working methods, including Microsoft Copilot, to simplify project management, automate reporting activities, improve decision-making, accelerate knowledge sharing, and increase organizational productivity. Identify and deploy practical AI use cases that generate measurable efficiency gains across the Project Business organization.

Success in this role means creating tangible business impact: accelerating Project Business growth, improving execution across functions, and leveraging AI to make Hager faster, smarter, and more effective in serving its customers.

Success is also reflected in faster and better-prepared decisions, strong follow-through on leadership decisions and commitments, early resolution of cross-functional bottlenecks and clear visibility of Project Business priorities and performance.

Profile

Experience

• Experience working directly with senior leadership teams, structuring complex topics and preparing recommendations for executive decision-making.
• Proven track record of delivering complex cross-functional transformation programs and turning strategy into measurable business results.
• Structured approach to risk management, project governance, and performance monitoring.
• Experience within electrical, industrial, construction, infrastructure, or solution-based businesses is a plus.

Technical & Digital Skills

• Strong analytical and synthesis skills, with the ability to turn complex information into clear executive-level recommendations.
• Strong program management, business structuring and execution competencies.
• Experience with Agile and traditional project methodologies.
• Advanced Microsoft 365 skills and proven ability to leverage Microsoft Copilot and Generative AI in a business environment.
• Fluent in English.
